Our Story

The Sexton is Savannah’s first traditional Irish pub—rooted in heritage, fueled by community, and reimagined for today. As brothers, we were inspired by our family’s story on both sides of the Atlantic, The Sexton blends old-world charm with fresh takes on Irish fare, live music, and warm hospitality. Our great-grandmother came to America from Ireland in the 1920s, carrying with her the traditions and spirit of home. On the other side of our family, our grandfather ran a bar that served as the heart of his neighborhood—a place where people came not just to drink, but to belong. These two legacies have shaped us. Now, they come together at The Sexton: a place where food, music, and community meet, and stories—new and old—are shared. We can't wait to share a pint with you.
